Studying Algo next year

    I am a year 10 student that has just started studying in Australia this year. I am thinking about doing algorithmics next year because I want to study engineering in uni.
    I will probably be studying EAL, accelerated methods, specialist, chemistry and physics (maybe biology too) next year if nothing goes wrong.
    I have learnt Python 2 syntax via Codecademy and self learnt Python 3 syntax.
    Would that be a bit too much for me to study two accelerated subject (method and algorithmics) in a year? Is there anything I can
prepare or read before the lesson start? Is there additional things hav to be done with Python if I would like to use it in algorithmics?
    I know it sounds weird but I have so many subjects that I want to study. I am not good at making decision ｡ﾟヽ(ﾟ´Д`)ﾉﾟ｡
