Ah, yeah that sounds about right. You'll probably have to get a stethoscope at some point too I believe.

(it's emergency health by the way)

med type books just must be expensive!

Oh and thats just the prescribed books, not including recommended.

ANDDD on top of that around$500 for uniform, plus $200 for a med pack!!

And this is just for nursing/emergancy health!
Oh you poor thing. I shall never complain about the cost of law books again.
Try to get as many second hand as you can, there's tonnes of them in the Monash 2nd hand book shop.

yeah the bookshop is in the main building in the centre of the campus, its right at the end to the right as you enter going like northwards... ah if its not on the booklist u might not need textbooks for it.

Exactly, wait until classes start and c wot the lecturer says.

There's no prescribed txtbook 4 1 of my units, only a recommended reading that isn't a proper txtbook.
It's a new unit as well, so I'm going 2 have 2 do the same and c wot the lecturer says during the 1st week.

And yes, the Clayton campus bookshop is in the Campus Centre (building 10), on the ground floor.
If you're coming in the entrance where Menzies is behind you as you walk in, you'll come to a sort of intersection with stairs 2 ur left.
Turn right and jst keep walking - there's toilets, pay phones, a bank and an optometrist down there 2.

Don't forget the Mac shop...:P

the Mac Shop. WTF, It's called an Apple (Academic) Authorised Reseller, or AppleCentre.

GET IT RIGHT :(

Yeah the a really pissed me off, but I thought it was the "australian" way of spelling so I didn't comment on it.

and for the AppleCentre, CompNow is the business trading name, it's still an Apple Accredited (Academic) Reseller lol

It's a shop and it sells Macs.

Ergo, Mac shop.

Emphasis: shop is lowercase.

I picked up my books today. I think monash bookshop is lame, it said that my order had not been shipped yet, but on the book site it said all books i needed were in stock. so i went in there and they had them all. also why did i need to pay an extra $10 'shipping free' to pick up my own damn books, when they obviously had them in stock all along.

Well, you could go in there and hunt the books yourself in that maze...takes time though.

$10 = opportunity cost.
