Just finished making this during Robotics. I'm going to print it out next week. Its beauty brings a tear to my eye.

My bio lecturer: Tells us about the horrible consequences if we plagiarize.

Also my bio lecturer: "But I'll give you chocolate" (If we plagiarize - even just miss a reference - we get a 0 and have to go talk to him, but he has chocolate in his office).

Wait, a zero, even if you miss one reference?  :o

Yep. We have to reference literally every sentence we write in our introduction, and almost every sentence in the discussion. Gonna be f u n.

What specifically confirmed your thoughts?

The way that they talked about their work - the "wins" that they shared with us seemed to be losses to me...
e.g. development was going to be on a rare and important habitat (destroying it in the process) so the consultants relocated 1 endangered species - that was it. That story was sold to us as a win and I wouldn't find motivation or happiness in that. Imagine what a bad day must be :(

Edit: And people worked years doing jobs they disliked in admin to get the point where they could have impacts like this...
I would rather change field (maybe go into art, law, engineering, or education) if those careers were my only option

We were writing a paragraph in English today, and while looking for quotes in the book, I completely zoned out and started reading it. Like, for a good 5 minutes. I just got sucked in.
I think my brain is either telling me to get more sleep, or quench my literary thirst.

Just got home and made probably the most mouth-watering banana cake that I've been craving for the past 2 weeks. Was very satisfying ;D

Sounds like it might be an instance of "The best is the enemy of the good".  I don't think we value either biodiversity or preserving a natural environment as much as we should, and as a result maybe trying for more would actually achieve less. But I can see how it could be demotivating :(

Saw a massive pug on the train today. He was sitting on a seat across from his owner. When he wanted to lie down, he had to try and slowly scoot himself around. It was super cute and very funny.

I made a sad realization today that even though I finally love the stuff I'm learning, I miss the high school atmosphere. I miss the banter we would have in high school every class and then on the bus home. Even though I regularly see my friends still, we won't ever get that atmosphere back. It's only my second trimester in uni and I feel like this. Ah good times =(

Someone was heating up some pasta in the seniors lounge and, before i knew it, there were about 7 people crowding the microwave. It was like they had never seen one before, the cute little buggers.

I vaguely recall setting an alarm for 5pm today some time last week. It just went off. I have absolutely no idea what it was for - I didn't leave myself a note.

What a wild development.
