The School for Excellence Headstart Lectures

Hello everyone,

So recently I attended one of these lectures for 1/2 chem, and personally, I thought it was a good experience. Although it did feel a bit rushed (can't blame them though with the time frame), I felt astounded that these teachers were able to help me understand an entire semesters worth of content in 9 hours.

Did any of you attend any of these lectures? If so, let me know your experience with them!

I’ve always found the notes from tsfx to be of excellent quality. However, the lectures are really useless. In my experience the speakers just read from the booklet and waste the x amount of time they go for.

Last year I just went to the lectures, took the notes from the front and went out with friends. This year, however, I managed to secure some Masterclass notes for chemistry and did not even bother to go to the lectures.

Ultimately it’s up to you. Some people learn better from hearing someone and despise reading content. I’m more of a reader :)

Yeah that's fair enough, how do you obtain the notes without actually going to the lectures?

Well when I went to a lecture they were usually at the front so students could collect them before going inside. So I just took em and left.

But this year I just bought someone's notes that went to the tsfx masterclasses last year. It's a crazy $1400 course or something and I got all the notes for $50 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
