Getting a little anxious if I'm being honest - is there any chance of getting offers from lower preferences? Because I put Monash Undergrad Medicine as my first two preferences even though I'm 99% not getting in, and because of that will it cause me to get no offers at all? Since they can't give me my first and second preference? (or even my third? dangit dad for telling me to put La Trobe Dent even though I don't meet the ATAR requirement?)

If we receive an offer, should we lower that particular preference down to last?
People do this if they haven’t really decided what degree they want to do. If you get the offer you want then there’s no point. If you get your third preference and still want a shot at getting your first or second preference then you don’t need to do this. If you get your third preference but are still undecided between your third and fourth preference then moving your third to the bottom after you’ve gotten it gives you a chance of also getting an offer to that fourth preference which means you’ll have more time to decide between them.

Have had a bunch of friends receive offers. I'm definitely above my clearly in for law/commerce. Are offers slowly just rolling out or have I missed it? Overseas rn and this feels quite nerve racking.

Occupational Therapy at Deakin! I'm really happy that I got into this course but mainly relieved that I got into uni at all :)

You can usually change up until census date (normally March but check your unis calendar). But yeah you should definitely be able to change your units up until classes start at least.

Would expect it later today. If you don’t get it tomorrow at the latest I’d contact them.

You need to accept & enrol. There should be instructions in your email, if not you’ll get a second email.

The email says i will get another email containing all the details, and that they will be sent out after 2pm. Do i just wait for this one? Sorry if it sounds so straight forward im scared i will miss out on doing something then the offer will disappear lol.

Yeah just wait for it. Don’t worry it doesn’t lapse that quickly - I let mine lapse last year and got about 3 reminder emails haha (not saying you should let it go that long though).

I got an offer for Computer Science at Monash University, which was my first preference. So happy!

If I understand the system correctly, you should be able to bump up the UniMelb preference and still receive an offer for that, whilst retaining the Monash offer you received today. That way you've got extra time to make a decision.

Now that it's after 2, you should be able to log into your vtac account and see any offers you have there.

The anxiety was high all morning but ultimately I got Bachelor of Vision Science/Master of Optometry at Deakin (Geelong)!
I'm really happy with that, I was terrified of not getting an offer at all :) I'm still tossing between this degree and Biomed/Science degrees at Monash and Melbourne, since Geelong is pretty far away for me and means I'll need student accomodation, but overall I'm grateful for the offer!

They normally don't start sending them until 2pm at the earliest. Give it some time :)

You could rearrange your preferences to allow for the possibility of getting a different offer in Jan if you want more time to decide.

If the other courses you want are higher in your preferences than the offer you've already gotten then yes you can still get offers from them (you can change your preferences to make this work if needed).

If you are getting a scholarship from Monash University, would that be attached to the offer email sent by them or would it come in a separate email later on?

Can’t remember, but I think they came separately. They can be offered any time between now and late March, from memory.

Not sure what’s going on, although the influx of students might mean that the acceptance/ enrolment system at UoM isn’t coping too well. Would probably give it another try later tonight or early tomorrow, when things would’ve calmed down. Otherwise, try contacting Melbourne Uni (usually Stop 1) for help. They should have a contact number/ address somewhere for you.

Pretty sure you’ll have to talk to Monash Connect, the Arts faculty student services or your managing faculty to get that started.
