Can I work at like cosmetics or food companies with a pharmacy degree?
I guess you could, you'd certainly have some of the knowledge required. Pharmaceutical science would be more suited since Pharmacy is more heavier on patient and healthcare stuff. As mystikal said you would go Pharm -> Master of Pharmaceutical Science or something like that if you develop more interest in the formulation type industry stuff.

Well I can think about that actually getting into pharmacy , right?
Yep it'll be a legit pathway to take.

I have been looking at the Pharmacy course for quite some time. One thing which I dont understand is in the prerequisites section:

Quote

Units 3 and 4 - a study score of at least 35 in English (ESL) or 30 in any other English, and a study score of at least 30 in chemistry and mathematical methods (either).

Atleast 30 in Chemistry and Mathematical Methods (either). I dont do Chem but if I get 30+ for Methods do I stand a chance or is chem also required.
2011:
Aims-
English 35, Further 45+, Methods 35, Physics 32, Turkish 33, Legal 28.

The "either" refers to "CAS" and "non-CAS" Methods, which is of course irrelevant nowadays as the non-CAS no longer exists.

Pretty sure you're able to if the degree is recognised there. I don't know which countries sorry. Problem is the health care system and drug names (both generic and trade name) would probably be different so you'd have to learn all that somehow. We call Panadol (trade name) paracetamol (generic) here. In the US it's acetominophen and in a non-English speaking country I'd have no idea. If that non-English speaking country has their own school/uni for pharmacy you could look into that.

oh ok..................so how does this transition program work? i heard that you finish 3rd year or something and you can do an exchange.. so when you come back from that country do you have to complete your last year back at monash and then do an internship?

uhhh.. after 3d year u can do an exchange program in your summer, then u do 4th year. then u do internship, after your internship if u want to in another country and they do not allow u to practice due to the differences in systems such as US and AUS have different systems you will have to do a transition program which means more university in the US for like a year or 2 so u get to used to it. same applies for ppl from overseas that want to practice here in AUS.

If you really want to do Pharmacy, then you can still pick up Chemistry, it just means you'll have to drop one of your subjects you already have
Religion and Society (38), IT - Software Development (45) English (35), Chemistry (49), Methods CAS (48), Specialist Maths (50)
ENTER: 99.15

2010 - Bachelor of Science(Maths)/Engineering(Chemical) - Monash Clayton
