When they say late start, they probably don't mean a year late. Or two; I forget which.
1. What year level are you in right now, and what are your subjects? (Mandatory)
Currently in Year 12, taking Advanced English, Mathematics Extension 1, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
2. What movie do you most passionately hate? Provide justification. (Mandatory)
This is probably a very poorly informed judgement, because I haven't watched too many movies. Oh! Fifty Shades of Grey; there's a general consensus on that. Stale acting, rote romance and shoddy puppet-like characters aside, it misrepresented an already ostracised community pretty horrifically. Not to mention how hard it was to keep a grasp on my suspension of disbelief. And that sequence with Ellie Goulding's song was like, so much wow...I had ascended to a higher plane existence at that point. Or lower. Probably lower. Down into the carpet fibres.
3. In the event of a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice? (Mandatory).
I'm feeling so attacked right now - first movies, then a zombie apocalypse? Um...having a machine gun fitted with tranquilliser darts sounds like a good idea. Are zombies affected by depressants? I hear they can't be killed. Anything that I don't have to aim is good; my aim is as sharp as my goal is defined, which is to say it's nonexistent.
4. Who do you want to be as a person, what do you want to achieve? (Optional)
This has changed a lot over time, and continues to. I know that I want to be a figure of guidance and hope and comfort for the people who need it. I want to make the privileges I've had access to available for those who have not, as well as the ones I haven't had access to. I want to make a difference for the people who are overshadowed by the loud colours and elaborate plans and thrumming urgencies of our world. My story is small, and limited, and insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but I like to think there's some tiny part of it that no one else has to tell, that no one else has shared yet, and that by using that experience I can give the people I see myself in a world of hopes and opportunities. It's an obscure goal, but it's as close to an achievement as I'll ever set.
5. If you had to summarise your life in a paragraph, what would you say? (Optional).
Three lines should suffice, yes? I started off with a burning passion for success and evolved that into a burning passion for enlightenment. Then came a lot of doubts and uncertainties about the stuff I'd held as absolutes in my life, as is the way of things. I ran away into the horizon, where fandom embraced me. Now I'm trying to find a way out of the cesspool I've drowned myself in, with store-bought hormones to help me along.
