for Commerce new gen. the guaranteed enter is 90
what exactly is guaranteed enter?
so if i get enter of 90.1 i will definitely get in commerce csp?
or
does it mean full fee? like i get 90, i will get in with full fee???
-
full fee
-
Yeah ud need about a high 95 to get in with csp i rekon.
-
yeah. I'm guessing it'll be 96.2 for CSP.
-
2007 ENTER: 96.40
Yay, not middle band. Lucky!
*twirls around in office chair waving hands maniacally*

is the guaranteed enter for biomed at UoM 95? I believe it is but not absolutely sure. But suppose it is does that mean with my 99.05 i am guaranteed a CSP place in biomed?
cheers
-
You are never guaranteed a CSP place. Guaranteed ENTERs refer to the full-fee place.
-
With a 99.05, I'd safely say you'd breeze in.
Meanwhile, coblin, I don't think azhtey is in Year 11. :D
-
I thought you were referring to AppleXY only, sorry :)
I would place an upper bound of Commerce CSP at 97.45, to replace Engineering/Commerce's old entry score (2005)
-
i've also got the kwong lee whatyamacallit scholarship so i think that guarentees me a CSP place.
anyways i was thinking of going for Juris Doctor postgraduate after undergraduate biomed, and i've got 2 questions.
1) Do you have to pay for teh course upfront, because that is what i'm hearing
2) I hear you have to do a lot of study by yourself in a postgrad course rather than having more assistance from lecturers as in undergrad courses
thanks in advanced
-
1) You only have to pay if you get a Full Fee Place.
2) That's probably true, but by that stage you'd hope to be ready for that sort of learning atmosphere. Make no mistake though, you'll be academically supported in whatever degree you do.

What?? are you serious??? So if the guarantteed ENTER to get into Melbourne Engineering is 85...then I would have to get a much higher one for CSP??? NOOOOO!!!
But I applied under Access Melbourne...Does that help a bit?
-
Access Melbourne will help a bit. The clearly in for Melbourne is about 88, I think. (87.45 in 2006)
-
having access melbourne will help heaps, esp if you have made the guarenteed ENTER mark. This is because they allocate AM positions before looking at the other CSP places
-
im applying for biomed...shit hope i can get a csp place...now im worried...in any case im looking to do post grad medicine at melb so even if i did science with the right combo of units, they say its just as possible to do med.
i also have access melbourne benefit as my school is underrepresented, which i already stated in the SEAS application.

Yay! I have made the guaranteed mark for Engineering!! WOOO!!!!!
-
From what I can recall:
Science/Environments/Arts = 85
Commerce = 90
Biomedicine = 95
not sure about Music.
-
If biomedicine is 95, for what enter do you guys think a 'guaranteed' csp position would be given?
If it's something extremely ridiculous like 99.whatever, then I'm gone next year. :-\
-
its gonna be around 97-98 i reckon :-X
