UMEP - should I do it?

I really want to do earth sciences but I don't know if I should do it because it seems like a lot of hours I need to commit - x3 1 hour lectures and a 3hr prac a week (off the top of my head).

I'm generally pretty organised and if I do well enough in my year 12 subjects this year, I'll be able to get 4 year 12 subjects next year, so I'll have 10 free study periods as well.
My biggest concern is balancing everything and not ending up so stressed that I have to see the wellbeing staff again.

Is it worth trying it out? Thoughts?

Check subject reviews from x Steve and orb
the general consensus is yes. It's less of a workload and especially
easier to obtain 5 in umep than 50 in a subject :)

Whoops: I thought UMEP was for maths, just realised the M stands for Melbourne  :P But certainly check out those reviews :)

I'm not sure what Earth Science is like but:
I did UMEP Biology and I would definitely recommend UMEP to anyone considering it. It's fun and I'd say pretty straight-forward. In my case, it wasn't a good idea because I wasn't really good at balancing out VCE with a uni subject and being organised in Year 12 in general lmao so I didn't do very well for UMEP. If you think you can handle the workload alongside VCE, I'd say go for it.

Hopefully that helps!
