Is related rates on the methods course?

Can related rates questions be examined on the methods exam?

E.g the radius of a puddle is increasing at 2cm/s find volume of puddle if etc etc.

It was technically taken out of the methods course after 2015 and you are unlikely to get a question specifically on it. However, related rates are just an application of the chain rule so it's probably worthwhile learning imo

The last problem containing the related rates was Q.2b in Test 2B in 2014. Related rates generally involved the volume of solids, and it was also the last problem that required the knowledge of that topic. As pointed out above, related rates are associated with the chain rule and may still come in some form again, but you should prepare for this type of problem only if you have enough time.
