Help with past question

Before performing research, the researcher must weigh up the potential risks to the participants and the potential
benefi ts to society.
This ethical consideration is known as
A. beneficence.
B. integrity.
C. justice.
D. respect for persons.

I got "c" but the answer is "a" and 82% got "a" and I am not sure why. I would have thought it would be "c" because the researcher is ensuring a fair distribution of benefits and burdens to the participants.
Can someone explain if they know?

The answer is A because the question describes beneficence.

The question also has 'benefits' in it which gives it away.

Whenever there's some sort of 'weighing up' involved, its gotta be beneficence.

Justice refers specifically to the ethics that guide researchers on the SELECTION AND ALLOCATION OF THE PARTICIPANTS.
That is, everyone's given a fair chance of being selected for the experiment, and an equal chance of being allocated to each of the groups in the experiment.
