What are your plans for after exams?
« on: October 31, 2018, 04:51:27 pm »

After my VCE exams I crashed for some days, then the study guilt kicked back in again and I spent a day watching maths videos. Later, I attended a leadership camp for 18-25 y/o called RYLA and went camping a few more times (with friends and family (separately).
After these exams I'll be running a year 8 STEM camp, going camping, and  setting up a start up business with a friend

What are you hoping to do after exams?
Catch up on sleep? Indulge in gaming? Finish a project you've been working on? Go travelling?

Definitely travelling! I'll be going to New Zealand during Christmas and Indonesia in January so I can't wait to waste money lmao. I'll also be going out a lot (most likely to the city) because my dad's not even letting my mum ask me to help her take my cat to the vet -_- And I'll definitely be working towards my P's since I haven't driven since January (perhaps I'm foreshadowing a new accountability/motivation journal?). Apart from that, I can resume my volunteering with the NGO that I joined at the beginning of the year (they know that I have exams at the moment). I'll also be spending more time working out (I've gained so much weight from stress eating my mum called me out saying "Stop snacking you're getting fat" ;-;).

I actually dunno what I am going to do. I have tried looking for a job but with no luck.

I am volunteering for Red Frogs during schoolies time and I have an interview for a course the week after exams finish and I have also volunteered to help out with my school presentation night the week after exams. But besides that I have no idea what the heck I am going to do with my life.

Oh and since everyone else is mentioning driving I have around 40 hours left and I should be able to go for my red Ps before December is finished.

Well I mean immediately the day after my last exam, getting ready for and going to my formal.  ;) But some more long-termish things:

- Travelling to Japan.
- Continuing to learn basic Japanese in lieu of this^.
- Hanging out with my friends more often.
- Working, potentially find a second part-time job.
- Trying out new recipes.
- Finishing the cushion covers for my room.
- Decorating the house for Christmas (if My Mum doesn't thwart my attempts in the mean time haha)

Quite a lot actually:

- Clean my wardrobe and room because my wardrobe has got to the point it barely closes
- Probably dye my hair because it's gone a weird dark blonde after not seeing the sun ahaha
- Going shopping for new clothes after chucking out all the ones that don't fit
- The Saturday after exams going on a trip with my close friends
- Having a family friends party for my 18th
- Turning 18
- Going to Adelaide for Lifesaving World Championships
- Having a dinner with my friends for my 18th
- Going down the south coast with my best friend that lives in Ireland
- Patrol at surf club and potentially help train new lifesavers
- Probably going overseas with my family, maybe Vanuatu
- Getting my green P's

And hopefully hang out with my friends more and begrudgingly work :( so that I can go out ahahaha

Exams are still going to be a big thing for about a year from now, so mostly going to be my plans for the summer:

- Preparing for the upcoming year
- Getting back with primary school friends
- Watching loads of Netflix
- Playing loads of games
- Walking around my neighbourhood aimlessly and staring at walls aimlessly
- Getting back into cycling
- Reading and drawing

I think I'll save driving for two summers after this one :)

I turn 18 during exams (the 3rd) so after mine are all done I'm planning on doing some hard-core partying, something I've been looking forward to for a LONG time.

After that, I've got Val, then I'm going for my licence (this would usually be scary, but compared to exams it's nothing), and then I jet set off to the Gold Coast for some more heavy drinking at schoolies.

In terms of some more long-term activities, I'm looking forward to going to lots of festivals with my friends next year, hopefully a holiday with my boyfriend (undetermined but must-be-cheap location), getting back into reading and heading off to Uni.

I honestly can't wait! 16 days left!

Oooh Vanuatu! Can definitely recommend.  :)

Also are you competing at the championships? If so, that is pretty astounding!

Yah hoping to get to go there, was meant to last time but a cyclone came :(

Yeah I am, it's open to anyone for many disciplines and you complete for your surf club (IRB for me) but should be fun :)

Have fun with that. It's.... interesting to say the least. Are you doing both the Lit & Num on the same day or separately? I remember when I did mine, did them on the same day and had about a 90 min gap in between.
