Few days ago I had to withdraw out of a subject I enrolled in for next year, would let me withdraw out of everything subject I had enrolled in for next year, EXCEPT the subject I wanted to withdraw from! I ended up just withdrawing from everything and putting all my subjects back in.

Well done to Russ and dc302 as well! Hopefully I can follow in your footsteps for 2013 :D. Need an improvement in my GAMSAT though (64 Melbourne weighted), why can't Melbourne weight it like everyone else :(

How did you withdraw from everything if you couldn't withdraw the one you wanted?

Oh, congratulations Russ and dc302! :)

I have absolutely no idea. When I withdrew from one, it came up with an error, but then when I tried to tick all the boxes and withdraw them all, it works :S (this is using withdraw from a subject on the admin page)

Haha no worries. Anything to save anyone having to deal with the EPSC around this time!

I think people were getting in with mid-low 60 GAMSATs and mid-low 6 GPAs, but you'd expect they'd have performed very strongly in the interview. It's also a good idea to note that your clinical zone is influenced by your entry marks

I did not know that, is there a link which elaborates more on that point?

Really? I thought clinical zones were purely randomly assigned (with some influence from your preferences) for most people (ERC excluded). More motivation to do better then! Though I think rural placement might be fun.

Not as far as I know. They combine a whole lot of stuff, like marks, place type, gender etc.

Oh right, that would make sense actually, cause there would be a chance that one hospital could get lots of students with high marks, while others get students with lower marks. Same thing with gender, place type etc. Do you know if it's like highest mark = more likely to get first preference or is it random in that sense.

I would imagine those with higher marks will be first to fill the quota of their preference, is there any indication of what marks one would require for zone 1?

Guys relax, the entire marks thing was a casual comment - they play a small part and there's no information on how they get used.

Haha I think all this worrying about scores and my current exams have got me a bit on edge. Last exam tomorrow though! Probably should be studying without the cricket on, but oh well :)

I wish they released interview scores.. :( The lowest CSP place I remember seeing (non rural) was like 6.6 GPA with 65 gamsat.
