Do we have to memorise the steps of the polymerase chain chain reaction?

Yep, you need to know the steps and the temperatures they occur at.

I'd definitely recommend it, questions in past exams have asked for the PCR steps, so it's always good to have it in your back pocket.

Try to remember it through understanding rather than just rote repetition.
 I wouldn't be surprised if it's on your SAC for this topic.

Yes definitely memorise it. If it does come up it will be the easiest 3-4 marks.
