Not a bad GAT. Heaps better than last year.

70 Flirtatious?

flirtatious? nah it was formidable, she looked like a man, whilst you could argue from how she has positioned her hand as self-conscious, it more formidable because of the wide shoulders and straight back which projects dominance.

flirtatious for sure. she had her hand outwards, palms out, welcoming you, drawing you in for more, for a closer look at some of that major cleavage.

I too picked formidable, was kinda surprised that some of my colleagues picked flirtatious but it kinda makes sense.

hahah its formidable but i think males are more likely to lean towards flirtatious, due to the cleavage. Even though she did look like a man...

i picked flirtatious, who knows, maybe women were more manly when it was painted

I'm not one for picking the 'arty' answers but didn't you see how HUGE she was? I wouldn't want to get in a fight with her, definitely formidable

I chose flirtatious. Her 'pose' reminded me of something I read in a body language book (lol). The exposed neck and and the way her hands and arms were positioned.

Scandalous.

IMO the answer to the painting is either formidable or self-effacing. If you look at her hands and the way her arm is propped up against the table, you can construe that she is being self-conscious.

I'll post my answers later, but I'd give it a high probability that it's formidable, given the broadness of the shoulders and the confident pose.  If it adds any credibility, my Head of English agreed.  :p

Your cohort's SAC scores overall are compared to your cohort's overall exam and GAT scores to ensure they marry up fairly accurately, and if not adjusted accordingly. :)

Ps... does anyone have the paper they could upload? Just the last page. I sure as hell want that woman as a momento.

I reckon it's self-effacing - she had this blank stare of an expression...
what a stupid exam!

i reckon this too and also there was a shadow on her chest and gesturing hand so maybe that could be relating to her not usually showing those 'characteristics' and instead being shy ;)

its open to anyones interpretation lol
if thats so then how does it measure your abilities?
we have some of the best minds in vce on here and no one can be certain of an answer???

on another note, do we get results, how are they displayed and how do we get them?

It's self-effacing. Only her figure is forbidable but she's doing a ballet pose with the other hand resting on the table and all bent/poor.

She's taking the piss out of herself.

I originally said she was flirtatious, as she as an hour glass figure and sultry features. However contextually I have looked up John Graham's works and he is very keen on displaying his characters with Roman prowess. The space seems cramped, given her position, although there is no distinctive sense of location to the picture, other than the fact that it is indoors. The painting is classified as abstract expressionist in its color scheme, and its use of a mask-like face, which is reminiscent of some of Picasso's cubist works. Although this work is recognizably human, it seems like a grotesque rendering of the human form. The work seems more like smears or swirls on a canvas rather than a suggestion of someone one might know in life. The smile on the woman's face while she assumes an uncomfortable position, and the cartoon-like yellow, orange, green, and blues make it seem as if the work is a parody of a woman, as if the woman's image is being made intentionally ugly or distorted.

Therefore she is formidable.
