When your workbook has a cardboard cover and it just... falls off

Hot tip: invest in some fat spirals.

I've heard a version where they fell back on the chair while chewing a pencil and then it stabbed through their cheek and left a hole haha Myth or reality?

I tell this story to quite a few people.

Obligatory Warning: contains mentions of gore. If you’re sensitive to that sort of thing, please don’t open the spoiler.
Story Time
I was in Year 4, an innocent and gullible kid who had never seen or heard of a dissection before. (I was about 9 years old at the time.) My class was situated in a portable classroom, with another Year 4 class next door and we were the only two classrooms attached together.

The teacher next door, unbeknownst to us all, had actually done a dissection on several sheep organs with his class and, on occasion, liked to prank people. Having finished the dissection, the teacher next door decided to prank us.

We heard a hard smack and the teacher next door almost ran over to our classroom hurriedly, as if in panic, hands covered in blood-stained gloves. He proceeded to interrupt our class (pretty sure we were doing maths) and practically screamed that one of his students had been rocking on their chair and smashed the edge of the table, splitting their head open and they needed help.

A bunch of us, curious, join our teacher as she went to check on his student. We found their class doing a dissection of sheep organs, but one kid (the one the teacher had named) was sitting on the ground holding the back of his head, beside a few pieces of sheep’s brain and a puddle of blood on newspaper beside the table that he supposedly “hit” and an overturned chair.

A few of us freaked out for about a second until realising it was all a joke. Had it not been for the newspaper and clear lack of blood, we wouldn’t have known any better.

Our teacher had walked off, having realised the ruse. Meanwhile, we were left to have the image of the neighbouring teacher’s bloodstained hands seared into our minds, as we slowly walked back to our class, the student and teacher next door stifling a giggle.

So yeah, that taught me two things:
1. Don’t rock on your chair.
2. Never mess with that teacher.

Being required to submit in Times New Roman font.

I don't know why, but I just really dislike the readability of Times New Roman. For me, it's on the same level as Comic Sans.

I am a fierce time new roman supporter. Arial is okay. Anything else is BAD imo.

When you've been procrastinating for who knows how long, then finally decide to study.
But then someone interrupts you as you're about to start :-\
And you can't get mad because you procrastinated rip

It's certainly no Garamond, which, as we all know, is the best font available.

What else would I use, Cambria?

Only because they put the limit back on it, predicting this exact thing happening

At least in my area, yeah.

TP is also down a little here, but thankfully we have enough this time to not have to search high and low for it 😅
