Hi guys,

If anyone of you are studying biomed at UoM, could you please share your thoughts on the teaching quality of your lecturers, tutors etc? How bearable is the workload? Anything is appreciated!

Workload is hard but manageable.

The teachers themselves are reasonably good, but you definitely get the sense that they're not pumping a lot of money into the courses. Very few tutes, very few opportunities to actually interact with teachers one on one etc etc, a lot of lecture-based learning (which study after study says is rubbish) particularly towards the end of the course. The structure of the course also privileges knowledge acquisition over the acquisition of skills, which is silly imo.
