Can I pick up 3/4 Physics without 1/2

I'm doing 1/2 chemistry and unit 2 specialist. A lot of Specialist Mathematics assumes you've done physics so I think that 3/4 Physics will really help me with Specialist. I've done 1/2 Chemistry and i was going to do 3/4 Chem but I'm just not enjoying the research side of Chem that much. I really enjoy maths which is why i did chemistry and I feel like physics has similar components which I'd really enjoy doing so I was thinking about dropping chem for Physics

Will it be too difficult to do 3/4 physics without learning 1/2 content?

Hi there :) I am probably way too late as I've seen you've chosen Chemistry instead. But... please do choose subjects you enjoy or truly will help you. From what I've read, you seem to like more physics and chem. As someone who hates physics... I am dropping it this year. I did 1/2 last year and to be quite honest it was boring but not too difficult to catch on but some of my classmates found it fun and they also said some stuff aligned with specialist which helped them. My teacher said units 3/4 focuses a lot on motion so i mean there's not toooooo much theory i guess(?) I also had a friend who wanted to do a 3/4 science subject without having done any 1/2. She got advice from the teacher and he said that last year he had 2 students who did not do 1/2. 1 of them scored really badly and the other surprisingly well. However, he doesn't recommends it but he can't stop a student from doing so anyway. So if the school allows, go for it. If you put hard work into it then the outcome will always be good.
