The email was sent to me at 10 AM
Surprisingly, I got the invitation from JMSS for interview.
I’m one step closer to JMSS,yay!
Only halfway through, because out of 851 people participated the test, 400 got to the interview 
For me a interview will be much harder than a test, I’ve done hundreds of tests and mock tests, but not a proper interview 
I need to be prepared, NOW!

Whoa i got interview too!
I am on the 9th August, so less than 2 weeks :0
I stuffed up mid year exam english and re badly
but maths and science are decent/good
Don't have a lot of achievements in science tho

Do I have any chance?

This is so true for me. I also got mine around 10. If i studied hard for the entrance test, then I should study insane, like mad for the interviews. My interview is on the 10th of august. So sad, just 10 days, this is gonna be difficult for someone like me. DW for the projects Synx, there is still time to join competitions for science. BTW, for those in JMSS, can we like bring awards from year 6, cos I don't have many for the last two years

A piece of advice for those doing the interview:

JMSS cares a lot about your extracurriculars as well as your achievements in science. They know you're capable, because you passed the test. The interview helps them gauge what type of student you are and if it fits their specifications.

• – No matter how many certificates you bring, nothing will come of it if you don't talk about it. So elaborate - what was this certificate for? Why did you enter that competition? What did you learn from it? Variety in achievements will be more attractive than how well you did in them, unless you got something crazy high like a medal.
• – It doesn't matter if you have physical proof about a certain achievement, they don't nitpick and try to trip you up, you just need to talk about it. Likewise, when I did the interview, the interviewer even told me to stop showing my certificates and instead talk about them in general. Every one of your achievements needs to be backed by your word.
• – It is more important to assert what kind of learner you are, than what kind of grades you get. Talk all about how you demonstrate your passion for S.T.E.M, and how you care about it beyond the school curriculum.
• – I would strongly weigh extracurriculars, or points that make you stand out, above scores or grades. You were captain of the softball team? That's great! Played stage band for 4 years? Great as well! Year Level Captain? Awesome! Don't forget to elaborate about each of those points. What did you do during leadership meetings? What skills did you learn through the music program? This interview is all about you, so you really need to talk about you.

Rejection emails are only sent after the interview stage. If you didn't pass the exam you will not get confirmation until the first round offers are finalised (probably in September). However, I think interview emails are still being sent out, so don't lose hope!

My interview is on the 8 th of August and that is the earliest i know so far.
