I don't think you should give up on hope. Just wait a couple more days, if you don't make it in, there should be a rejection letter. But as long as there isn't one, keep hoping!

Does anyone know the likelihood of getting in on a second round offer or know of anyone from previous years that received one?

I sadly got my email and didn’t get in first round.

You guys do realise that second round offers only goes to like around 10 people max? As long as they have a minimum of 190 (or 200) people, even if there has been people that have turned down offers they probably won't send out second offers. The second offers that they DO give out are to people with extremely high academic merit (the type of people that have A+ in all their subjects and competition awards)

Hey I have recieved my email. I unfortunately did not get in, despite all you kind people on atarnotes and the subsequent discord believing I would make it. I've still got my hopes for the second round offer, but the odds are against us.

I seriously doubt that I will get a second round interview. I don't really know what happened, because I felt like I did so well during the interview process! My junk mail just said that there are limited places on offer and yada yada, and then it said that those who don't submit by 10th of September will be sent to others as a second round.

I believe that I have had a pretty good chat with her, she sidetracked the questions asking about my siblings and my family. This is up in my arena because I like to talk about my personal life, and we rambled about it for a while. Then she went back to the questions.

The date for Orientation Day for this year has not been set yet as it depends on the VCE exam timetable. On the day you will :

1) Meet the rest of your cohort
2) Find out what house and home group you are in as well as meet your buddy and the people in your home group
3) Play some get-to-know-everyone games
4) My favorite part - free lunch ! Cooked by the PTA and current students

They can be a bit daunting as there will be 200 of you and you won't know more than 5 of them ( if you are lucky ) but it is suppose to be an ice breaker and give you the opportunity to meet everyone. My suggestion is to circulate and meet as many people as you can since you won't know if you will share classes with any of the people you meet. There is no need to be shy as you will all be in the same boat. The worst thing that can happen is that you meet one person and you get on really well with them and you spent the whole day with them then find out later that that one person that you have made friends with is 1) not in any of your classes 2) decided to go elsewhere 3) turns out you don't get on with them as well as you thought.

If you can't make it to Orientation Day, you will miss out on a fun day but there will still be plenty of opportunity for you to meet the others before school starts at the Induction Camp.

I don't know what to do. I didn't get accepted and now I'm pretty depressed. Should I go for JMSS and EBSS next year? I seriously have no clue at the moment and my brain is dead.
