never done any tutoring in my life and i got into macrob and jm. I do not think tutoring is important or necessary at all. It's really up to you.

Same, I haven’t done any tutoring either and some of my friends that tried out last year kept telling me I wouldn’t get in if I didn’t do tutoring but honestly not only is it super expensive and time consuming, apparently it doesn’t really make much of a difference anyway.

Tbh, I guess that depends on our ability. For me, I do have tutors only because they back me up, and in case I do struggle a bit at school, I ask my tutors for help, and they provide me clearer explanations.

I think it opened around mid-February last year. Not sure about this year.

Nope, not excited at all  :-\. For me these holidays have passed by sooo quickly, maybe because I’ve been overseas for a long time.

I may either just get tutoring for maths and do practice exams closer to the day. Online worksheets and books are really helping right now. Also my school hasn't found a year 9 teacher yet omg. So I'm stuck with replacements as my current school smh.

What happens if you don't have much on your resume? Will it decrease the chances of getting in?

It's not the job resume that you may be thinking of. It's more of a portfolio. They'll ask about extra-curriculars and stuff like that. I'd recommend getting involved in things outside of academia.

If you’re referring to using the ICAS science thing for academic achievements, then probably yes. Although, it (might) depend on what result you got for ICAS as well. Are you simply talking about saying that you did the ICAS science test or are you going to hand in the result you got as well?
