Paragraph:

"The reporter of this newspaper reported on 20 August: Yesterday a mother from Melbourne's eastern subrubs yesterday implored the public to help her and her family to find their daughter. According to this mother, her fifteen year old daughter Xiang Qing ran away from home two days ago, and has as yet not contacted her family. Xiang Qing's classmates revealed: Xiang Qing's runaway is probably related to the boyfriend she made over the internet. Insiders said: Xiang Qing met a boy with domain name Nick on the web more than a month ago. They talked on the web every day. Recently, Xiang Qing did not really interact with her classmates; a lot of time was spent on the web. Xiang Qing once told her girl friend: Nick is a handsome university student, he is nineteen this year, and they fell in love at first sight on the web and wished that they could go on a date some time soon. The police are currently investigating this case."

Translations like these are quite standard in VCE 3/4. If you're aiming for a 40+, these shouldn't be too hard.

Oh boy...rip the dream.

I did find the past exam translations a bit easier however.

It's okay I can't do the first translation either, and only some sentences from the other hard ones :) the dreams not over!

Alright, so I have a lot of stuff for translation, so I'll post bits of it at a time, and you can translate it :)

I also have parts of a translation booklet written by Ruilan Yuan, and I'll scan and upload the information when I have time (and when the scanner's working ;P)

First passage to translate: (translate the underlined bits.. or you can translate the whole lot if you want :))
-from Ruilan Yuan's 2010 Practice Written Exam

Mod edit: Just changed title to something more attractive :P But yeah awesome stuff!!! Greatly appreciated!

Is this from your translation book? I spot a wrong character from the Chinese source: "深受广大群从热爱" should actually be "深受广大群众热爱"...  :)
