Tommy's Journey Through Biomedicine.

Hello everyone, my name is Tommy and I have decided to write a University Journey Journal (was thinking about it but never actually did it). I started it to hopefully have something to look back on in the future. I

What course am I studying?

I am starting my first year of a Bachelor of Biomedicine student at the University of Melbourne.

Why am I studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine?

Mainly for the pathway of getting Postgraduate Medicine somewhere in Australia (preferably Melbourne MD)

What subjects will I be doing?

First Year Semester 1:
- BIOL10002 (Biomolecules and Cells)
- BIOM10001 (Discovering Biomedicine)
- PSYCH10003 (Mind Brain Behavior 1)
- EDUC10057 (Wellbeing Performance Motivation)

First Year Semester 2:
- BIOM10002 (Exploring Biomedicine)
- CHEM10006 (Chemistry for Biomedicine)
- PHYC10007 (Physics for Biomedicine)
- PSYCH10004 (Mind Brain Behavior 2)

What are your goals/plans for the future?
The goal of postgraduate medicine is not a hard-locked-in goal. I wish to discover what I desire to do through my three years in the Bachelor of Biomedicine as I have an interest in the health sciences.

Thank you for reading! I will continue to update this over the time I spend in University.

Hey Tommy!  :D

Looks like we're both doing Biomed at Melb! Which subject are you most excited for? Are you thinking of joining any clubs or societies?

I'm looking forward to following along on your journey to Med and I wish you all the best!

Hey bro

Beer styles? Interesting. Monash doesn't have any fun or quirky subjects like that. Looking forward to following your journal.

You're so lucky to have a good Psych department. Would've done it if I didn't hear all the bad stuff about the Psych department at Monash  :(

Hi Tommy!  ;D

You have quite an interesting group of subjects (Beer styles sounds so good!). What are you most looking forward to doing in uni when it starts?

I'm excited to see more updates from you in the future and good luck! 8)

Thanks, everyone for the kind comments - have actually made changes to my subject selection that may have increased the difficulty of my first-year experience. (doing no breadths in semester 2)

Absolutely forgot about this thread over the semester since as it was quite busy =(. Might think about writing subject reviews since some parts of Melb Biomed subjects have changed
