Holidays are in 4 DAYS!!!! or should I say study break.....

So accountability is a big thing for me and so to keep myself accountable, I am going to be listing everything I want to get done by the end of the ~ 5 weeks I have :)

PIP
- Get all the beginning stuff done (besides the log)
- complete at least one chapter

EXT 2 MAJOR
- Do immense research
- Prepare for viva voce
- write the intro and some content
     - want this to total to about 1500 words

EXT 1
- Finish notes on common module
- read LHOD (text)
- read samuel coldridge poems (and annotate)
- finish or almost finish the assessment (due week 5)

ENG ADV
- Read 4 sets of texts for Mod C
- Finalise common module notes
- MAYBE reread 1984 and annotate

Modern Hist
- Full Core notes done

CAFS
- IRP done

I will update as I go, let me know your thoughts!

So, the beginning of the end has finally come and the long-awaited yet dreaded words are said 'school starts tomorrow'. I must admit I'm kinda scared of the fact this is my last year of schooling (yea there's UNI but I won't experience anything like school again).

Anywayssss, let's ignore all that scary stuff for a min and reflect on that atrociously long list which I gave myself when holidays began (don't be too disappointed by the results). I must say I did more relaxing than anticipated, but I feel it was necessary, after a 30+ working Christmas week and one day off within a 12-day span, I was exhausted. And also school is exhausting, but I feel rejuvenated and prepared to conquer the year :)

PIP
- I am very disappointed with how much I have done, I'm getting into contact with a marketer from a toy company so I've needed to wait for that, but I have just been putting it off
- Done a lot of research
- Scavenging for responses
- somewhat started the actual content

EXT 2 MAJOR
- Have done a lot of research
- idea is finalised including one text (trying very hard to find another)
- Viva voce is somewhat prepared for, have a little bit more i need to finalise by next Friday
- haven't written much but smashing some out this week

EXT 1
-  common module notes done
- haven't read LHOD (text), but i'll be doing that over the term
- haven't annotated all poems of Colridge have one and 1/2 of Rime of Ancient..... done, however, ROAM will be done by this week and the other two within the next two weeks
- assessment idea finalised and have started writing :)

ENG ADV[/b]
- Read 2ish of Mod C texts, almost done metamorphosis, completing Spotty Handed within the next two weeks
- common module notes done

Modern Hist
- Full Core notes done

CAFS
- IRP done
- notes done

Overall, didn't do as much as I hoped, but definitely content with it and feel I did enough to prepare me, after all, I didn't want to burn out before the school year even started :)

Until the next post,
Nomsie :)

It has been a while, I don't have much time as I'm memorising an English essay for an in-class response, but here is an update for my semester one marks! (Mainly for me to keep track of my progress)

TERM 4:

ENGA: 19/20 - = 1st
EE1: n/a
EE2: n/a
MHIST: 18/25 (3rd?)
MATHADV: 29/30 - = 1st
SAC: 19/20 - 1st
CAFS: 20/20 - 1st

TERM 1:

It has been a while, I don't have much time as I'm memorising an English essay for an in-class response

Some ways that used to help me memorise English essays were:

- Recording myself saying the essay, then listening to it every time I would want to listen to music :)
o I did this in three seperate ways (1. the whole essay read through, 2. each theme/ idea/ topic, introduction and conclusion seperately 3. Each theme/ idea/ topic in half)

- Writing out flashcards, then little prompts (like the first 3 words of the paragraph/ each sentence) and review these daily (every few hours if possible)

- Using the Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve (Spaced Repetition) to my advantage

- Having a condensed set of notes with the bare things that I could be able to adapt (ie. quotes, techniques, malleable effect/ meaning --> depends on the question, audience impact)

Goodluck with the Trials coming up soon :D

I am one happy yr 12 student, although this is not how I envisioned my last term of schooling, I cannot complain that..

1) Trials got pushed two weeks (let's just say my study is not as effective as it should be)
2) THE PIP GOT PUSHED TWO WEEKS!!!!!! it was meant to be due a day after my birthday, so I am definitely happy (excluding the fact that I'm celebrating in lockdown :'()

I shall update in a bit, for now I need to do my mod B notes on Eliot :P

Also, Term 2 Mark update :)

Eng adv: 24/25 - = 1st
Eng Ext 1: 23/25 (There's technically 2 people in the course so I'm 1st, but its an online course, so including other schools I'm 2nd)
Eng Ext 2:33/40 - 1st (not the best, but I'm content ;D)
Math Adv: 25/25 - =1st (mini test + hand in task)
Society & Culture: 39/40 - 1st
Modern Hist: 39/40 - 1st
Community and Fam Studies: 23/25 - 1st

Very proud of last terms results :)
