METHODS EXAM 2 SOLUTIONS

Exam 2s take a while to write up. Sorry 'bout that. We've probably made a few typos / minor errors. If you spot one, let me know, and I'll fix it maybe tomorrow.

Got completely lost towards the end of q2 and q5 but other than that pretty happy with it. Had to guess 3 multi choice. Now I can only hope I didn’t do anything stupid.

What did u get for Q5 value of a for minimum area?

Yes. The axis is vertical, not horizontal

i got a = 10^(2/3) / 10 but may be wrong

I ended up with a function of a without a minimum lol I’m not the best person to ask

what did everyone get for the second mcq? do two identical solutions considered as two real solutions? being so dumb.

would i lose a mark if i converted the angle to degrees, but still in exact form??

for q3, what would happen if i wrote x= instead of t= but got the answers correct?? would that be considered as invalid??
