How do you put restrictions on your calculator?

As the title reads...

NOOB QUESTION: How do put restrictions on a Ti-Nspire CAS calculator (i.e. tan(x)= -1, x ∈[-π, π]) - it's meant to be pi, btw. =P

The picture below, is the type of calculator I have. =)

Much appreciated if anyone could help, or if this question has already been answered before... could someone direct me to it. =)

Thanks.

Should be the same as TI-89 from showing students how to do it.

First after using solve etc find | then type in -pi <= x <= pi

Then your calc will solve in that domain.

that's correct, put the | after the solve(...=...,x) though   (I think)
