Hi there!

Should past/practice exam papers be done from newest to oldest, or oldest to newest? VCAA first then commercial ones, or other way around?

What do you think and why?

Thanks :)

Cheers! My teacher recommended the opposite of that though, and I'm undecided. What's the benefit of doing them like you say, do you think?

yeah my teachers suggested the opposite ahaha but ehh

I feel teachers like you finishing most recent vcaa first since thats what the actual exam is most likely gonna replicate however this is usually  just to make sure students actually complete the exams. I was always gonna end up doing all the vcaa exams at some points so it didn't really matter for me. Although definitely do a few vcaa early just to get an idea of difficulty of the actual exam.

For bio I did 2002-2012 for both exam 1 and exam 2 VCAA. Then I did 2013-2016 company exams. Then I did the most recent VCAA exams in the week before the exam so I saved the best for last to get a good indication of how prepared I was for the real exam.

I also recommend oldest to newest and company to VCAA. Just make sure that you are realistic with how much you can get done,  so that you don't miss out on the most valuable exams.
