By the way, if you only considered the positive solution for the last question, you reckon it would be 3 or 4 out of 5? So getting a=1, b=0, c=-2.

Well I did the exact same thing so I'm curious too.
Also kinda pissed that I went too far with the magnitude of the momentum.  I do Physics so having change of momentum as a vector just doesn't look right :)  Oh well, hopefully the rest isn't too bad!

I suspect you lose just 1 mark for taking the wrong sign. (You lose just the final answer mark).

I just realised that for the points of intersection question, I went another step and found the co-ordinates of those points instead of just x=1, x=3. Do you lose a mark for that?

No, provided that you have (i) clearly indicated the x-coordinates required for the answer, and (ii) not contradicted yourself or wrote down anything incorrect. Proceeding further than required is not automatically penalised.
