How specific are the examiners?

I am studying 3/4 Italian this year, and am not a native speaker by any means. But am trying hard for a 40+. However I am wondering how specific the examiners are in regards to the answers they want. I understand that comprehension of listening and reading tasks are important, but if you leave a small detail out of your answer, does that mean you are incorrect?

For example, in the 2008 exam (READING  ... Answer in Italian)
I wrote that he was 35km/hr over the limit, he zig zagged across the road and he did not stop at an intersection.

The answers say:
- he exceeded the speed limit by 35 km/h (driving 95 km/h in a 60 km/h zone)
• he crossed the intersection against a red light
• he continuously changed lanes for 50 metres

Would I be penalised, for neglecting to say that it was at a red light?

Basically, how specific / how strict are they?!

I believe that the examiners are quite specific about the answers they require - I believe you still would have received your marks for that particular question although perhaps next time instead of saying "zig zagged" (as this is a little vague) just take it a step further and think what zig zagging on a road really means - changing lanes. Just these little details can help you move from an unsure 3 marks to a solid and definite 3 marks. I know it's hard but keep going!!
