Physics and Methods 1/2 in Year 10?

I was going to do 1/2 physics in year 10 but recently just got a place in the 1/2 methods in year 10 class for school. Is it too difficult to catch up on two subjects over this summer holidays? Is physics really hard? I am thinking to do just 1/2 methods if anything. But if physics is quite easy, then I will do it as well.

I personally only completed Methods 1/2 in year 10 this year, however I had three friends who did both Physics and Methods 1/2 this year and they all didn't have too much trouble with doing both. I'd say if you're interested in both subjects, give it a go!

Not sure what you chose. But I did VCE physics this year (10). Really it was not that hard, I felt it was actually year 10 level mostly lol. Nuclear Physics and Big Bang are probably the most difficult in terms of maximising marks on responses. From 1-10 I'd say it is 6/10 First semester, 4/10 Second semester.

However, the content is a bit dry, as there are just too many calculations and the experiments are also dry. My school under any circumstances it seems, does not allow 1/2 Methods early. They do have a strong recommendation of not doing physics and chem though 1/2. Physics does not seem justified. It is perfectly OK for an early 1/2.

Go for it. Doing two 3/4 subjects in year 11 is the best thing you can possibly do.
