Are rankings for Unit 3 and 4 seperate?

My teacher mentioned that everyone is now equal rank for unit 4 as it is seperate to unit 3. Is this true?

Units 3 and 4 SAC rankings are separate graded assessments except for maths subjects, where they are combined as there are two exams.
