I got 54% in my second physics sac and seeing how i got 87% on the first one kind of makes me lose motivation on everything. Do i still have a chance to get a 40 raw in the end because my i need at least a 93 ATAR to get into the course that I want. I'm dying because of my 54%, I started working (only 8 hours a week) and this happened. I am aware of my mistakes and faults to getting what I got but how do I recover from this and what are my chances for a 40 raw. FYI, 54% was one of the lowest mark in the class, but due to my first result, I am rank 7th out of 18 or so in the class :(.

Yup, many more SACs to improve your ranking, which is what ultimately matters.

Calm down Hiyo..
As sdfg says, it's the ranking that matters, and there are a fair few more sacs to make this difference up.

And for extra reassurance - You beat my first SAC score by 7% :D
And I did the same, getting 86% on my second SAC. I think I am actually still ranked second or first...

There is hope for all :D

1)  yes you still have a chance
2) the exam counts for a lot more than the SACs
3) you have time to increase your rank
4) if your cohort is strong enough even a mid-ranked person can get 40+
5) it is very very difficult to accurately predict study scores
6) I got 53% on one of my SACs and ended up with a 98 ATAR so in a sense I'm proof that a bad SAC doesn't mean you're doomed
