Slytherin however I have been sorted into Griffindor some times too.
I was in like Grade 3 or 4 (8 or 9 (or 10?? idk)) when Pottermore came out....

There's a "kids these days. Back in MY day" joke somewhere here, but now I'm just too sad to try and find it

Not too surprised by these responses. Would've thought maybe a few more Hufflepuffs though.

So, after 25 responses it looks like this: 1st house (2nd house)
Gryffindor: 4 (9)
Hufflepuff: 5 (5)
Ravenclaw: 13 (4)
Slytherin: 2 (6)
No idea: 1

Assuming 2 points for 1st pref, 1 point for 2nd pref

Hufflepuff!
Took the Pottermore test 4 times, 3 out of the 4 was HP and the other one was Slytherin

I'm sorry, you were in year 7 when Pottermore came out?

Fuck, I'm old. I was sitting my fucking year 12 exams

This feels more dramatic than you having finished your undergrad when I was in 1st year running for mass^3

I was in like Grade 3 or 4 (8 or 9 (or 10?? idk)) when Pottermore came out....

Grade 3 or 4 makes sense given I'm in 3rd year uni.

The way I see it year 7 is the perfect time to have sat the quiz given when sorting happens in the series. I think I would answer slightly more ravenclaw now than back then but (hopefully?) would get the same result

I tried the post-Pottermore test today (had to sign up to a new account to re-take it too!) and it was terrible.  Very few questions (maybe 7-8?), a large percentage of which were irrelevant - e.g. "pick heads or tails" and "pick a type of owl".

At least it spat out Ravenclaw rather than Gryffindor, like last time I took it - I'm the same as the majority here, struggling to pick between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, with a dash of Slytherin.

Slytherin, as per the original Pottermore test (while i do identify with most of the traits, i feel like a part of it had something to do with my massive primary school crush on Draco). Trait-wise, think I'm a bit of a mix between Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.

It's always upset me how much of a bad rap Slytherins get; I remember one of my friends got sorted and she wouldn't accept that she was sorted into Slytherin, to the point where she made a new Pottermore account and rigged it so she'd get into Ravenclaw (which she believed was her "true" house) :(

I totally get you, I was NOT expecting Gryffindor, more like Ravenclaw. I also thought that some of the questions like the pet ones are not really relevant. Just because you have certain traits that control your actions more doesn't mean you won't want a certain pet lol

Let me guess: You also thought there were seven books in the series?  When I first read Harry Potter, there were only three books (and no films).  And I think I was already in secondary school :-\

G: 17
H: 15
R: 30
S: 10

Interesting stuff! I think broadly as expected but I agree - probably would have expected a few more Hufflepuffs.

The only poll options not yet selected:

- Gryffindor over Hufflepuff
- Slytherin over Hufflepuff

🐍🐍Super late to this but I've always been a Slytherin🐍🐍

🐍Where are all my Slytherin buddies??🐍

Slytherin!! 🐍🐍 Definitely the house I identify the most with.  Also, Pottermore also says my patronus is the black mamba.
EDIT: Are we the same person? My Patronus is also a black mamba🤣

I'm sorry to say this but if you think you're a Gryffindor, you're a Harry Potter wannabe. No exceptions.

Ravenclaw is the superior house, Slytherin are the bad guys (they're literal snakes) and Hufflepuff sounds like an overweight hamster.

I rest my case.

Not turning this into an argument but overweight hamsters are cute, Slytherins are hot, Ravenclaw is SO cool, and there's nothing wrong with being a Harry Potter wannabe (in fact, there's something wrong if you don't want to go to the HP universe hahaha)
Let's try and keep this respectful  :)
