ATAR Notes Awards 2016 - NSW Nominations

This is the NSW nominations board, if you'd like to nominate VIC users, click HERE.

Yep, they're back! An annual tradition since 2013, the AN Awards are returning again for 2016 (a little earlier than normal)! Essentially, the AN Awards are just a bit of fun and designed to give some recognition to some of the members who, in 2016, have stood out in some way to you. Nominating someone is one way you can say thanks, you could very well make someone's day!

This is our very first set of interstate awards. The NSW community has been growing strong all year, and it is really exciting to be able to recognise some of the first people who have helped make that possible. There will be separate nominations and awards for NSW and VIC.

With the exception of the very last award category, national moderators will NOT be eligible. For NSW, that's Jake, Elyse and myself. The state moderators ARE eligible for any award category :)

The categories are:
MVP (Most Valuable Person) of AN NSW

ssarahj
Studybuddy7777
MVP Class of 2016 (only graduating users can be nominated)

The way it works is that above we have the categories for each of the Awards; unfortunately not all boards are represented as we've chosen the ones with the most traffic. Any member can nominate any other member (one per category) by posting below in this thread following the below template. Note that you may nominate users for all categories or just a few categories and you can nominate multiple categories to the same user (just not multiple users to the same category). You also can't nominate yourself. In a few weeks we'll be locking this thread and creating an anonymous poll where you guys can vote away (we can check IPs of voters to make sure no one cheats, but this is for fun remember!)!

Sample nomination:
Code: [Select]
My nominations:
- Most helpful in Maths boards: User X
- Funniest member: User Y
- Scariest mod or admin: User Z

So you don't have to nominate users for all categories if you don't want to, although we'd encourage you to try and thank everyone who helped you out this year if you can!

For a simple copy/paste of all the categories:
Code: [Select]
- MVP of AN NSW
- MVP Class of 2016 (only graduating users can be nominated)
- Most helpful in Maths boards
- Most helpful in Science boards
- Most helpful in English boards
- Most helpful in Humanities boards
- Funniest member
- Most insightful/wise member
- Most supportive/motivating member
- Best in water cooler
- Scariest mod or admin (must be a moderator or admin)

Note: if you get nominated and would not like to accept the nomination, feel free to post that in this thread, but remember it is just a bit of fun!

Prizes will be honour and respect, as well as a special custom title from Brenden on your profile that will show to others how much you're appreciated (if, of course, you want it put there) :)

Previous winners and honourable mentions (second place getters) can be found here:
- 2013: AN Awards 2013 RESULTS (this thread also has good comedic value if you've got some free time haha)
- 2014: AN Awards 2014 Results!
- 2015: AN Awards 2015 Results!

Thanks heaps, let's get nominating! Please keep this thread free for nominations by minimising chat and banter ;)

I'll start things off! There are so many people I want to nominate, I dislike being stuck to one choice ;) for that reason I'm going to try not to nominate someone twice, but remember you guys can if you want to! Here goes:)

- MVP of AN NSW: ssarahj
- MVP Class of 2016 (only graduating users can be nominated): suddods
- Most helpful in Maths boards: RuiAce
- Most helpful in Science boards: Skidous
- Most helpful in English boards: bethjomay
- Most helpful in Humanities boards: isaacdelatorre
- Funniest member: Happy Physics Land
- Most supportive/motivating member: Blissfulmelodii
- Scariest mod or admin (must be a moderator or admin): brenden ;)

As a side note, try not to nominate someone who has already been nominated (no biggie, but use your nomination powers to their fullest!) :)

As a highly reputable and extremely valuable member of AN, I thought I'd introduce my own award called "Bestest person of AN" and I'd officially like to nominate Jamon.

All in favour say I

Or +1 the post. Brenden has agreed to introduce this award if this comment gets 10+ respect.
EDIT: Changed best to Bestest coz it has a better ring to it ya feel?
