this whole week i went to lectures with little tute classes involved.
and i made so many new friends. made me relise how unhappy i was with old ones.....

so having said that.
what are your guys thoughts in uni life.
eg... did u keep in contact with close friends? still call them best friends?
which one has been the best? as in HS or uni?

time is gettin closer and closer for us yr 12's :P

I suspected that I would lose contact with everyone soon after HS finished.
This exact thing happened.

I thought that this would be a bad thing in some way.
I was wrong on that count, without meaningless 'friendships' you are really no worse off out of them.

Since then I have made my closest friends on this site. They are the first people I truly trust and feel comfortable with etc.
I know people at uni, but they're just a slight improvement on the quality of HS friendships. I have seen some of them outside of uni twice :D

I expect to lose contact with quite a lot of the people I currently call friends at high school atm.
Of course, there will also be a few that I will make sure I keep in contact with :)

And as for the transition from HS to Uni...
I CAN'T WAIT~!! :D hehee
It just seems so exciting to me :P lolz.
No more year 12 stress, less hours of school, meeting new people, being in the city everyday (hopefully i'll go to uni in the city) , and going to the same uni as my silly boyfriend  :smitten:  (actually, hopefully i'll get into UoM) :P

I still keep contact with a number of friends from high school despite being at uni for nearly two years now. In fact my best mate from high school does a very similar course to me at uni (Chem Eng - Management compare with Chem Eng/Science). However, I find the uni life to be so much better than high school since you have a lot more freedom to do what you want, and you get to meet heaps of like minded people :).

hummmm.

at the end of this year. im thinking of like ditching old friends. well some.

i dont want to end up all unhappy during uni. and with the friends i have this year it seems to be heading that way atm.

so i just wanted to see for people at uni if they still kept in contact.

i LOVED making new friends this week!
made me see my OLD ones in a diff light....

I was just thinking about this a few days ago....

People from my high school never bothered to keep in contact with me...(except maybe one or two...but thats via sms/phone). I never fitted in with the people at my school anyway. Most rejected me -  I felt depressed most of the time at school.

I was very surprised that my "best" friends from high school don't bother to include me in their outings. Maybe I can't call them best friends anymore...

In contrast,
The people i have met at uni are so much better. Im grateful that I have met some cool people there. They are so interesting and open minded and most don't judge me. They accept me for who I am and I can be myself.
