AUGUST 2020 MOTMs

Another month has passed in this unprecedented year and so that means we have our August MotM and PotMs to announce (albeit belated)! :D August saw coronavirus cases in Australia climb to their peak and then sharply plummet like the relevancy of an old internet meme. Something that hasn't changed is our wonderful online community here on ATARNotes (or AN) is still taking charging ever forward and helping each other through these tough times.

THE NSW WINNER FOR AUGUST IS...

Viktoriak_ has been posting since May 2020 and what a great 4 months it's been! Despite only just getting started, Viktoriak_'s quickly become part of the furniture in the HSC Journey Journal board and you'll usually find them interacting with other NSW ANers too. In fact, their very first post was actually their very own HSC Journey Journal, which they've kept (relatively) updated since! They also been pretty active on the Forum Games and Casual Chat, where many of the most active and friendliest members of the AN community reside. It's no wonder we've picked such a staple as our NSW MotM for this past month!

We hope to see more from your HSC journey journal and can't wait to read some more posts from you in the future, Viktoriak_!

THE VIC WINNER FOR AUGUST IS...

Homeworkisapotato was killing it in August, accumulating around 100 posts in that month alone! Many of their contributions have been scattered across the forum, not just helping, but asking questions in quite the array of areas: VCE Biology, Selective Schools Admissions, Victorian Technical Scores Discussion, VCE Journey Journals... just to list a few. Not only have they been posting everywhere, but they've also had some stellar posts like this, this and, more recently, this selective schools tips thread (although it narrowly missed August). It's without a doubt, homeworkisapotato deserves this award for their outstanding efforts in August.

Thanks so much for being such an amazing contributor, whether it's asking questions, commenting on other journals or being helpful around the forums, homeworkisapotato! Keep it up!

We'd also want to acknowledge the other outstanding contributions to the AN community through some top-notch posts! So, drum roll please, here are the...

Well done to Victoriak_, homeworkisapotato, those recognised in the POTM section, and, indeed, everybody who has contributed in any way (including reading posts) over the last month.

These are really tricky times for many of us, and it's so heartening to see so many wonderful contributions. 💙

First of all I wish a hearty congratulations to Viktoriak_ and the other POTM users!
Thank you so much AN, I seriously feel so honored and happy. This means so much to me. It seriously feels amazing to be part of such a supportive and positive community and I look forward to contributing more and seeing others' contributions to the best educational forums ever!
