My friend, currently in Monash, swears by RMIT as well. Especially good if you are more interested in design apparently.

Yeah everyone I know says it's RMIT and that seems to be the general consensus.

Deakin offers Construction Management/Architecture, it's worth looking into.

To get in RMIT i heard you need a portfolio but im not doing any subject in VCE that makes one. Are there other alternatives to get in RMIT?

Don't bother looking into Monash for architecture, from what i've read from a reading a crap load of forums, monash is the worst because the course is fairly new and is still developing.
RMIT as most would know is considered the best, however its really hard to get into (someone told me about 900 students enroll, 600 gets an interview and 60 get in :|).
Melb Uni is considered really good too, but a lot of people drop out because they get bored of all the enviroment stuff.
And finally, Deakin. Deakin seems pretty good too because they have a lot of connections with a lot of architecture firms within Australia. Deakin is fairly looked down though because its all the way in geelong and its not a well known uni compared to the rest.
