Chemistry unit 3
(1/1)
2352300:
Unit 3 for chemistry hasn't been the best. I'm averaging high 60s to low 70s, and I am ranked slightly above the middle of my cohort ://. It's too late now so I'm trying not to ponder on these results, but I plan on working towards a better unit 4 and exam result. Unit 3 is weighted the lowest (16% of my grade ) so if I pick it up can I still hit mid 30s? My understanding isn't terrible as I never drop a mark with calculations, but when it comes to explaining processes and definitions my wording is never good enough for my teacher, despite all the feedback I've gotten. He's very particular with definitions. Does anyone have any advice on how to cure this? Am I doomed to a 30> ss?

An average of around 70% in SACs mean you are certainly a competent student and if you are determined to improve, you can definitely get well in the 30s. As with most science subjects, this improvement only comes with practice and if you find your teacher quite harsh with explanations, you could always schedule a meeting with him and try to work out how to word your answers.
