Facebook has given me so many ads targeted at med students that I’m starting to think that I should be reconsidering my course.

What sort of ads?

Spoiler
^This is the most recent. I've gotten ads for stethoscopes, for gamsat tutoring (and umat tutoring), for medical textbooks, for stationary stuff specifically designed for med students (no idea how that works). All sorts of stuff. It's a bit ridiculous.

Facebook can't decide if I'm a highschool student,  uni student,  STEM teacher or parent of a highschool student.

Is it just me, or do you sometimes remember Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, when you eat chocolate.

Writing the last few words on a report that I needed to write and then saving and closing the document is surprisingly therapeutic. :D

I recently got back into Cookie Clicker as an idle game to play in the background while studying. Oddly addictive and satisfying.

We're now in October and it still feels like winter, maybe we might get a cold summer as well

Hey J_Rho,

It's never too late to start good study habits!  Perhaps it might be useful to try starting with a small amount of study each day (i.e. make sure you do something, even if it's one question!) so that you don't feel really exhausted straight off the bat. This way, studying may become a consistent habit of yours, and you won't have to keep waiting until you get those sudden bursts of motivation. Even asking yourself, "What can I enjoy about this subject?" could make the journey a little less arduous  :P
Don't worry if you don't get study done everyday though - make sure you do other things to keep yourself in check! 8)

Also, it is good to have a goal in mind or a reason for why you are even trying in the first place. Something like a course goal, to make yourself proud, etc. I know my goal is to be able to understand the content in my VCE subjects so that I can tutor later on. :)

In the long run, I'm sure you will be able to make yourself proud, and say, "I did that!", not just in school, but in life. :)
