If you guys come from a bigger school the competition is less rather than going to a smaller school where like 10 kids get an interview and 2 get in.

Luckily from my school there are around 300 kids in my grade therefore around 10ish maybe more kids will get a place. But the thing is that I know tons of kids that got an interview (literally everyone who tried out but 4 kids) so the chances for me getting in are like less than thirty percent.

For the interview make sure you study about climate change (cant remember if ive already posted about this). Also there is one question about like your favourite scientist and why they are inspirational to you. The group interview is actually quite frustrating especially since I got 3 kids who knew a lot about science whereas my friend got like 3 kids who barely spoke. It all depends on your luck on the day.

Just had my interviews today,good luck to all of you guys who’ll be doing it in the next few day.Don't stress and try to show them your passion for science and mathematics,make sure to mention ALL of your extra curriculum activitrs(even if you don’t excel at some) and just show them how you’re suitable for this school.

For one on one interviews always try to say something,the last thing you want to do is be silent or say ‘I don’t know’,if they ask about climate change tell them something you know or think might be true,ask about career,tell them about you favorite science jobs or which scientist you admire and tell them about how you would like to study his/her field.Just never be silent or reply with ‘I don’t know’

Did u just assume my gender?How dare u!! No I am a guy, i've hinted that by calling all of you guys (I know that causes hyocrisy, but meh). Anyway, what made u think I am a (ahem) a "chick" PM if u wanna know my school. Anyway for some strange reason I got like already 3 people asking me for my school. Can u tell me why u wanna know? Yay I just finished my interview, pretty sure I did pretty well, and I did most of the speaking in the group interview so that should be a good sign

Hey guys, just to clarify something: there is no limit on the number of people in your group who can pass the interview. I've seen quite a few people disappointed because there was someone who didn't stop talking in their group whereas everyone was silent in their friend's group. You're not marked based on how much you talk but rather a larger range of criteria so make sure you collaborate and work together with your group and you may all be admitted. That being said, talking is always better than saying nothing but I would not recommend at all cutting people off in order to be the one talking all the time.

Don't be disappointed if you couldn't say much in your group. That same thing happened to me when I applied so just stay optimistic and hope for the best.

lmao i literally counted everyone from my school that got an interview and there is around 24 kids. Only 10 give or take will be able to enter JMSS.

I counted 5 people joining the test, and now I counted 3 people got into the interview. according to the 3% rule, their are 6 places available for our school.

people at my school have disinterest in JMSS is because it is FARRRR away... I basically needs to travel like this (see the picture below) just to avoid being late!
Plus, in werribee, most people knows and applies Suzanne Cory, actually only about half people here knows the existence of the science school！

Dude same, (i think mach 4 is a bit too exaggerated, try making it mach 2 or atleast 3 ) but still the, u know,madness of selective tests at my school is tense. U said, I am a geek right, well to the kids at my school I am just a bit above mediocre, and for some of those who are arrogant, they think I am stupid. No kidding (tbh though I am still glad I got in to the interview, and made some great friends at AN! It will be sad if I don't get in tho  might miss u all ) but lets still KIT

My mother is super nice. She is going to bake a cake when she gets the mail of whether I get in or not and in the middle it will either be green or blue. Blue represents JMSS and green represents my current school. She also said she’ll organize a family gathering and let me cut the cake to see. I’m so dam excited! Have faith guys. Even if you did bad or good, just know that you lost the battle but can still  :(win the war!

I don't have "such glorious achievement" and my school has no resources. I told you before, they don't even have a good textbook.
