Really? Everyone in my direct (and extensively large indirect) family from Poland are all Catholic. I've been told by all of them that Poland is more Catholic, there are churches literally everywhere.
I think people assume Holocaust = Jews = Poland waaaay too quickly

nope, not until that post (I feel so out of touch)  :-\
If you don't know the answer to a question, chances are it has something to do with changing the surface area to volume ratio or resonance.

Demographically you're definitely closer to the mark - Jewish communities tend to be somewhat bubble-like so that explains my point :P

Don't be hating on European meat and potatoes, some of the meals will blow your mind.

Alcohol actually isn't too hard to make. It happens naturally as well. It's pretty easy (dont know if legal) to set up a still to refine alcohol. One of my mates had relatives that had a decently large one back home in the balkans to make Rakia (sp?). I know its Croatian but its pretty much the same as the "white fire" booze every other European culture has like grappa.

Gotta say though, as far as liquor goes (sorry for corrupting the U18s) the English are winning for me so far. I love my Beefeater.
That's known as raki in Turkey...or lion milk..I haven't tasted but it contains so much alcohol...like 50% or something...you won't remember what you were talking about when drunk

Any Eastern European? I'm wondering if your mum or grandma has ever made yoghurt, feta cheese etc at home?

We made cottage cheese a week ago :)) Only ended up with like a cup's worth though
