Do you prefer to listen to studio versions or live versions?

If the band is good enough, I rarely listen to studio versions -- I just feel a lot of live versions convey more emotion.

Example for those interested:
The line 'nature's law instead of god' (timestamped vids btw, it'll take you straight to it) on the studio version versus the live version. I feel as though the latter is much better.

This question also counts to in real life too -- do you enjoy the atmosphere of a concert? Is it better than listening to their albums at home?

(I also absolutely love any artists that sound amazing live compared to studio, so feel free to share examples, no matter the genre!)

Imo live performances convey more emotion, and you can take more from the music if it isn't heavily edited. The studio versions generally strip much of the raw emotions from any song, which is kinda sad.
That being said, I'm not really the concert-going type, so the best I can do is youtube :P

It really depends on the performance.

Anyone familiar with Flaws by Bastille, or indeed anyone familiar with the concept of hearing, should get on their live version (the acoustic one). Turns a terrible song into an absolute masterpiece.
