Lol it's the best when you have no choice and don't have to stress
2015- Methods (46)
2016- Spec (42), Chem (43), Bio (41), Eng Lang (36), MUEP Maths (4.5) ATAR: 99.25
2017- Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Monash

Semester 1:
CHM1051: Chemistry I advanced
FIT1045: Algorithms and programming fundamentals in python
MTH1035: Techniques for modelling (advanced)
MAT1830: Discrete mathematics for computer science

Semester 2:
CHM1052: Chemistry II advanced
MTH2032: Differential equations with modelling
FIT1048: Fundamentals of C++
MTH2015: Multivariable calculus (advanced)

I hope you're enjoying camp, my fellow research friend. B)

It also looks like you've had a bit of a chat to Lincoln and/or the MASS^3 people that have been around, I reckon you'll have a fun semester!

Semester 1:
PHS2061: Quantum and Thermal Physics
PHS2081: Atomic, Nuclear and Condensed Matter Physics
MTH2021: Linear Algebra with Applications
MTH2121: Algebra and Number Theory

Semester 2:
PHS2062: Electromagnetism and Optics
MTH3020: Complex Analysis and Integral Transforms
MTH3060: Advanced ODEs
PHS2350: Physics and Astronomy Introductory Research Project (Hopefully)

No MTH2025? :'( But Tim is literally bae! Tim Baeroni!!

Semester 1:

BMS1011: Biomedical Chemistry
BMS1021: Cells, Tissues and Organisms
BMS2011: Structure of the Human Body
BMS1031: Medical Biophysics

Semester 2:

BMS1042: Public Health and Preventive Medicine
BMS1052: Human Neurobiology
BMS1062: Molecular Biology
CHM1022: Chemistry 2

Any particular reason you're going in without CHM1011? You might find you struggle a bit with the second half of CHM1022 without it...

And as for me:

Semester 1:
CHM4100
CHM4201

Semester 2:
CHM4100

I did this and had no issues, but I did VCE Chemistry the year before.

Anyway, here's mine.
Semester 1:
GEN3040 - Genomics and its Applications
GEN3051 - Medical and Forensic Genetics
BIO3011 - Research Methods in Biology
CHM2911 - Inorganic and Organic Chemistry

Semester 2:
GEN3030 - Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Genetics
GEN3062 - Evolutionary and Ecological Genetics
CHM2922 - Spectroscopy and Analytical Chemistry
BCH3052 - Protein biology: From sequence to structure and disease (intending to swap for GEN3990 - Genetics in Action Research Project)
VCE: Psych | Eng Lang | LOTE | Methods | Further | Chem
Uni: Bachelor of Science (Hons) - genetics
Current: working (sporadically on AN)

yeah I think it's alright to do chm1022 without chm1011 no real knowledge expected. However it may be a steep learning curve for the chemical language if you haven't done chemistry in VCE.

EDIT: pretty sure user has done chem in vce since it's a prerequisite for biomed @ monash

It's not really a content gap I'm worried about - sure, they won't know orbitals and that might prove annoying and will have to be learned in own time. Also not knowing the Beer-Lambert Law might make some pre-lab stuff really damned hard, but there's not much crossover otherwise.

I'm more worried about the style of thinking - I know for a fact that if I did CHM1022 without CHM1011, I would have failed it. I mean, if you want to skip it, by all means, skip it - was just curious as to why you would.

I am doing CHM1011 this year. Due to bad eyesight, I changed the wrong units without knowing. This is probably why I prefer to lurk  :P
2015 - 2016: VCE
2017 - 20XX: Adult-ing

LOL dw - for ages they had ASP1010 on my enrollment when I literally had no more room for it, even if I overloaded. It happens. :P

Make sure you don't start any quiz in ETC1000 a little early before your computer lab starts.....I started one literally 3 minutes early at 9:57 instead of 10:00 because we were let in our computer lab room like 5 minutes early and they gave me a 0 for the quiz :(.

Thanks for the tip! Did the tutor just say that there was nothing they could do?
2015: VCE
