Discord is targeted towards gamers. Having an AN discord risks either damaging the purpose of AN, or making the forums redundant.

(As opposed to just some private group that happens to include AN members, which is essentially similar to just the everyday Facebook messenger group chat.)

I think it's a conversation worth having at least. We have had an extremely redundant IRC for a long time with no other form of IM communication. I used to be completely against Discord being a non-gaming IM service but having experimented with it for a while now, I could see it's potential use.

You're not wrong. I admit I originally thought that too, but people are realising it's actually a very powerful chat service. Even though it's based around gaming, the non-gaming use definitely is visible too.

You'll be okay! I had nine teeth out at the same time, and ngl it hurts a lot for a couple of weeks, but it's vastly better after that, and it'll help your dental health/hygiene later in life, too. You'll get through it no problemo!

I need to get mine out at some stage, I've been putting it off for at least 2 years and am still putting it off despite getting an infection this year from one of my wisdom teeth that gave me the worst pain I'd experienced in my life...

I find my fear strange, because I've had 3 orthopaedic surgeries before that are a lot more full on than getting teeth removed and that didn't bother me at all 😂 Can anyone else relate?
