question: Using a case study of a large global business, which either operates in Australia or is Australian owned, analyse the contribution of human resource management to business performance.
case study : Mcdonalds

wondering if this is okay for an intro?
The link between successful business performance and the ‘worlds most valuable fast food chain’ is no doubt a result of an effective and motivated workforce - the outcome of exceptional human resource management (HRM), (Danny Klein, 2018). As a face of over 68 million customers daily, it is critical that McDonalds Australia (McDonalds) adheres to social and ethical responsibilities (New York Stock Exchange, 2018). This has been presented as a major concern to the business, however they have strategically implimented of a number of approaches to resolve the issue including ; general and specific skills outlined in job design, equitable training to develop current and future skills, and a consistent and effective leadership style to increase overall job satisfaction. This is achieved through a coinciding vision of strategies and processes within HRM, leading to the achievement of McDonalds outlined strategic role of ‘outstanding quality, service, cleanliness and value’ (QSC&V) (McDonalds Australia, 2018). Therefore, it is clear that the contribution of HRM is building a better workplace, and ultimately improving McDonald’s overall business performance.
