For some courses (e.g. Medicine), some unis require a predicted ATAR which is decided by the school.
JCU/Curtin med schools are not allowed to tell you what your school predicted as your ATAR, as far as I know.

Nope, 3x A+ can be anywhere between 40-50 usually.

SAC's can scale down without going down a whole letter grade. Eg form 100% to 90% while still maintaining an A+, this may have happened or even just a low A+ exam score.

Can someone direct me to any recent post or thread with Commerce/law at monash please.
Or can someone give any advice if 96.5 is too low to get into commerce/law and i should give it up as my 1st preference.

Not sure if I'm looking at the correct degree, but according to this page, people with lower ATARs have been accepted, however the lowest selection rank last year was 98 which means you're unlikely to get in if you don't have SEAS/bonus points (if they're available for this course, I'm not sure). Regardless, you should leave it as first preference anyway on the off chance you get accepted, but it would probably be a good idea to consider other courses or pathways into that course.

You're higher than the lowest ATAR (unadjusted), so I'd guess you'd have a chance. Best to keep the BComm/Law at Monash as Preference #1 to see if you can get it.

If you have Monash Guarantee, then you're set to go.
If you have SEAS (use SEAS calculator) or subject bonuses (see below) that push you over the 98 selection rank, you're good to go also.
Quote from: BLaw/ Comm at Monash
Subject Adjustments
A study score of 45 in any English equals 2 aggregate points per study. A study score of 40 in any English equals 1 aggregate point per study. A study score of 40 in Classical Studies, Economics, Geography, any History, Legal Studies, Philosophy, Australian Politics, Global Politics or Psychology equals 1 aggregate point per study. Overall maximum of 5 points.

Note: Beaten by PF. Leaving this anyway because subject bonuses have been included here.

You should leave it as your first preference anyway, but it's very unlikely that you'll get in with just your ATAR so have a look at other courses or pathways to get into that course.

Thats definitely not an ideal situation to have so its unlikely you get a first round offer, however you could potentially get later round offers.

Edit: beaten by PF but I definitely stress the advice to keep it as your first preference if that is the course you want.

Probably a bit late but I got a 42 in accounting and a 44 in Further.

Super stoked with accounting as I was expected a sub 40 because I felt like I bombed the exam, however I feel like I could have definitely done better if I put in more effort into memorising some of the theory instead of making up responses.

However I’m extremely disappointed with my Further result. I know I only dropped 1 mark in exam one as I thought I only dropped 1 in exam 2 as well but clearly not. I’m really curious as to see what I actually did get wrong in Further but I don’t think there’s any was to do so because none of my teachers are replying to my emails

If you really want to find out you could order a transcript of your results but you might also be less frustrated with yourself if you don't find out where you went wrong.
