Here is the place to discuss the evils and glories of the Paper Two Trial Paper from CSSA!

Did you like the question for your text?
What was the best module for you?
Did your hand fall off?

PLEASE don't write the exam questions here - they are under security until week 5 for illness and misadventure students.

I'm not sure about that, moreso that they should have been okay questions, just the wording was really strange. Referencing things (at least as far as I remember) that weren't on the syllabus, and having the central focus for the Module B essay not fit very well for all of the topics - ie. TS. Eliot.
Actually you know what I think they were a little bit of a curveball. We'll see when we get marks back, maybe it was less complicated than I thought hahaha

Last year they made us analyse Journey of the Magi for Eliot. 95% of the cohort died.

Module C was the weirdest (people and landscapes). They gave us a quote and then asked us this weird extraneous question without asking us tie it in. That one will be interesting...

But I found Module A, while being weirdly specific about relating 1984 to Metropolis was okay. Hamlet for Mod B was nice and simple but  :)

(hope that isn't too much detail on the questions, although if schools still want their kids to do the same paper they better hope they don't have facebook)

Yeah similar issue with people, power and politics. Though in theory it shouldn't have been that difficult, you really had to stare at the question for a while to understand what was going on.

CSSA requires schools to use a different exam if it isn't sat on the day, so generic comments like that are fine!  ;D just no specific questions or anything close to it until the security period is lifted in a couple of weeks  ;D

Wait what! Was this for short answer response or what?

Shouldn't paper 2 be on the modules?

T.S. Eliot is one of the options for Module B :)

My complaints about Paper 2 ;D (Oh here we go :P)

Mod A: Richard III and LFR. What!?! I had trouble seeing where this fit into the stimulus
Mod B: Cloudstreet. Wow!! So specific (only 2 characters?) for a 4-5 page response!
Mod C: definitely easiest for Art of Travel it went well, didnt link all that well with my ort.

My opinion: Paper 1 was kinder (did he just say that? ;D)
At least i managed to get at least 4 pages out for each (with approximately 15 seconds to spare :P)
