As per Alter's thread for UoM.
UoM subject choice thread 2017
As a continuation from threads in previous years, this is a thread where you can post what subjects you're doing this year. This is useful for looking to see what other people are doing in common, or future subjects you might be interested in doing so that you can ask questions. We can also use it for seeking advice on which subjects to do for certain pathways etc

Semester 1 2017

    BMS1011: Biomedical chemistry
    BMS1021: Cells, tissues and organisms
    BMS1031: Medical biophysics
    MTH1030: Techniques for modelling

Semester 2 2017

BMS1042: Public health and preventive medicine
    BMS1052: Human neurobiology
    BMS1062: Molecular biology
    MTH2010: Multivariable calculus

Do they teach you actual math in a teaching degree? Or is that expected knowledge for going into a Masters?
2015: VCE
2016: BCivEng(Hons)/BCom at MU

Feel free to PM me for your engineering queries

Content knowledge is assumed for your particular methods. You don't actually get taught content.. so for my methods being Maths and IT.. I haven't learnt any content, its more how to teach these methods to students. That unit in particular you're referring to is core for every MTeach student, meaning it won't be difficult in terms of math content but will more so focus on numeracy in the context of teaching these skills to someone else.

I mean - i've already had 3 years of content knowledge in statistics and IT during my undergrad. The gaps that I need to fill, I do so whilst on placement.

Make sure you don't start any quiz in ETC1000 a little early before your computer lab starts.....I started one literally 3 minutes early at 9:57 instead of 10:00 because we were let in our computer lab room like 5 minutes early and they gave me a 0 for the quiz :(.
