Hey,

In the upcoming year 2021, I will be doing Units 3&4 Biology without have done Units 1&2 Biology and so I recently heard of Dr Has Perera's tuitions and his outstanding notes and it would be a honour if anyone could pass me his contact details eg. phone number, email, address of where he takes the tuitions etc. I did find an online number but the phone wouldn't connect so if anyone has his contact details please please please send me the details.
OR
If anyone has his notes and would like to sell them. Please PM me immediately.

Thanks. :D

While I don't have his contact details, if he's still teaching at the same place, it's at Mount Waverley Heights Primary School and runs on weekends. I wouldn't say his notes are that good - the actual value is in the man just droning on for hours about concepts which get stuck into your head (assuming you don't fall asleep, oops lol). But I've got about 75% of the years notes and additional random past SACs from other schools he gave us if you're interested.

He's not that good. Most of the content in his notes are not even in the study design and all my friends who went hated it because it was mostly just listening to him drone on for hours (seconding what darkz said). I suggest going to a Bio tutor who has a smaller class :)

Hmm, I seem to have had a different experience than those above - although this was with the old study design so maybe things have changed? I thought he was a really great tutor when I was with him (2015). The lessons can be quite long and tiring (especially if you are in the morning sessions - 8AM) but definitely worth it imo. Honestly, I think it would be harder to find a better bio teacher in VIC. Possibly his teaching style is not for everyone?

The notes are also extremely thorough, however, there tends to be a lot of university-level content in those notes so you definitely don't need to know everything there.

Yeh, I'm not saying that he's a bad tutor - just sometimes it's hard to pay attention since the lessons are so long and I ended up falling asleep. In terms of content, because he does teach a lot that is no longer in the study design or beyond the scope, you will come out of some lessons thinking it was a massive waste of time, but other times, he'll talk about stuff that's really interesting or lay the foundations for something really well. Also, because the lessons are so long, he does repeat concepts quite a bit which does help you remember them - he also tells some pretty good stories. The only problem I really had was the end of year program - i.e. towards the end, I stopped going since he'd just go exam questions and stuff, which I was fine to do alone at home by myself.

Oh yep, I definitely agree that his notes ARE interesting and very thorough. I'm sure that many people enjoyed his tutoring, just the ones I talked to didn't. Like what Sine said, it depends on your preferred teaching style and I suppose my friends preferred more interactive one-on-one sessions as opposed to a lecture-type. Sorry for not elaborating properly!
