2nd Round and census date help

Hi so I want to go on to 2nd round offers since I didn't get into my first preference but I have a few questions.

1. I read that its best to accept your first round offer as a backup incase I don't get anything in the next round. Does that mean I have to enrol and pick my units etc?

2. I got an offer from ACU but I'm reading that the census date is different for "Summer term", "Professional term 1" and "Semester 1" Which one should I be looking at? As long as I withdraw before the census date I won't have to pay right?

Sorry I'm just really confused

1. Yes. Full enrolment is required in most cases. Read your offer email and that should tell you.

2. You'd be starting in semester one. Look at the census date for that.
